Review of Westin josun Seoul Executive Deluxe Room (2021.08)
It's been a while since I've been to the Westin Chosun Seoul. I think it's only been about 3 years. Strangely, I couldn't get my hands on it.
In the past, Westin Chosun Hotel was written in English as Chosun, but this is the first time I stayed after changing to Josun. While arranging the naming of Chosun Hotel & Resort, the existing notation was also unified.
For this stay, I went there using a free accommodation voucher, one of the benefits of the Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy Card. I made a reservation about a month in advance, so I was able to go without any burden.
With this stay, I earned my last piece of 1QN and achieved Marriott Bonvoy Titanium status.

Health Sauna Swimming Pool: Due to COVID-19, you can only use it once during your stay, and you have to do everything in one go.
This time, I challenged the executive suite room by applying for SNA(Suite Night Award)before staying, but it turned out beautifully. It has real SNA, but it's mana. I can't use it.
There were no room upgrades or changes until the hotel avrrived.
I arrived around 2:00 PM and they said that I would have to wait a long time for the room I had reserved to come out, so I asked if it was possible to put it in a king bed and put it in, and they said it was possible.
There are not many family room types, so if there are a lot of flats like these days, the check-out time will be late and maintenance will inevitably take a long time.
I went into the room where I was quickly checked in. Upon entering, it is an ordinary, Standard room.
It was a room that had not been renewed at all, so there was no difference from the previous visit.

It is an old hotel structure with a slightly uncomfortable structure as the shower booth is with the bathtub.
A Nespresso machine is also provided in the basic room, so you can use up to 3 capsules for free.
A simple welcome gift. Almond Snack. It is a snack served as a side dish at the lounge and bar on the 1st floor, and it is set in the room. In the past, a half bottle of wine and light snacks were provided as standard for executive rooms, but now, all of that has become a thing of the past.
Since the view is not toward Hwangudan, but rather a view of the construction site, I go up to the lounge and ask if a room change is possible. Since it is possible, I will undress in the lounge first.
There are afternoon snacks before happy hour. Overall, there is no big change.
The second day snack was also 100% the same. The taste was just plain. Chosun Deli is famous for its deliciousness, but the snacks here are just that. Nutella in donuts is the best.

Children between the ages of 8 and 13 are charged for snack time. You have to pay 12,100Won(10USD)each time you enter.
It's a bit like that, but you have to pay every time you enter, so you can't go in and out multiple times. So I had to sit for a long time at one time, and that was a bit like that. It would be better if I just decided how much I should eat during my stay rather than asking how much my child should eat, but I thought this wasn't right.
What was more like that was when I went with my child to drink coffee in the morning of the second day, and I told them that it was so unreasonable to pay every time like this.
So I didn't tell you that from the beginning, but what if you tell me before checking out? I think the child policy is too much unreasonable.
As a Marriott Bonvoy benefit, Platinum level children have free breakfast, so breakfast was not charged separately.
After resting and waiting, I hear that the room has been changed and move on. He also moved all his luggage.
It's at the end of a hallway that feels like a very old American style hotel.
Wow. It is the end room. The corner room has two windows. So it looks wider.
I finally feel like I'm in a nice hotel.
This is good enough for three people to sleep.
I really like the softness and softness that Westin boasts of Heavenly Bed bedding. It's a complete swamp when you lie down.
The bathroom is also much larger. Overall, it feels larger than the basic room by 2 pyeong.
After resting for a while, I go up to the lounge again during happy hour. Usage time is 1 hour.
It runs for a total of 4 hours from 5 to 9 pm, but it is quite busy because the usage time is 1 hour. Children can't enter, so they buy food, play YouTube, and couples come up to solve it.
Food Section is divided into snacks and alcoholic beverages, and snacks are divided into cold food and hot food.

It's not very good alcohol, but it's not alcohol... You can make it with a few cocktails, but the spirits are a bit weak. No rum and no cognac.

I just kind of figured it out.
Foods are usually snacks, so they are good to eat lightly rather than as a meal replacement. And since I don't eat much in the evening, eating in moderation is enough for me as a meal replacement. However, it seems that the quality is definitely lower than before. The variety has decreased and the taste has become commonplace. Certainly, it seems to be a reality that it is inevitable that the operation method of the old lounge is very different as the executive lounge use rooms are sold at a low price through various channels. This problem is a phenomenon that is happening all the same except for hotels with really high price hurdles. First of all, the hotel has to survive.
And in addition to the lounge, as an alternative place, an Italian restaurant on the 1st basement floor was also served as a buffet with the same menu, but children were not allowed to enter here either. So, I also thought that if children go together, they are always guilty.
The time of 1 hour is quite tight, but the food is not diverse enough to last for a long time or the taste is not great, so I ate in moderation and came down to my room.
This is the evening glow. The view from the changed room is really nice. The Hwangudan, overlooking from the room, feels very quiet and peaceful. Other reviews said that the lower floors are better. As soon as you open the window, you can see Hwangudan at eye level.
At the time of my stay, the lounge was open until 10pm, so it was great to go up after 9pm and drink a can of cola. It's nice to have time alone like this.
